Visualization and Meditation

In the busy, bustling world we inhabit many of us have forgotten how to simply relax. With lives that focus on work, family, domestic chores and financial responsibilities it can become increasingly difficult to find time for ourselves.

Taking some time out to meditate will help you to relax, stop your mind racing, still your body and leave you with a sense of well-being and peace.I have been practising visual meditation for over twenty years now. In the early days I found it difficult to let go, to focus my mind on a beautiful image or a positive thought and give myself permission to leave behind the stress and tension of the day. The more often I meditated the easier I found it to let go; the more readily I began to enjoy my own time, spent in stillness and contemplation - and the better prepared I became to face the everyday world.

As an accredited hypnotherapist, visualisation is an essential part of my work, helping me to guide my clients to a safe, identifiable place where they can anchor themselves and begin to focus on positive change.

I offer each of my hypnotherapy clients a personalised CD to help them to re-enforce the work we have done in our sessions. About two years ago I began to include separate guided meditations for each client. Many clients continue to use the meditations long after the work with hypnosis is done. The person who has let go of their smoking habits or their fear of flying may still need to let go of stress at the end of a busy day.

I include guided, visual meditations in many of my programmes for Hypno4Health and it is for this reason I offer downloads of short, guided meditations for you to use on a day to day basis. You only need to put aside a few minutes a day to join me in meditation – and there will even a free download to start you on your journey towards peace and well being.

My very best wishes,
Margaret
